And if I could share the entire world with you,
There would be nothing left for you to find.
If I could tell you all about me,
My company would be without a spark.
For if you could read into my mind,
There would no longer be any questions.
And if you knew yourself,
There would be no more exploration.
My doubts and fears and unfinished lyrics
Are the very instruments I so cherish.
The lines that have lifted themselves from the sheet
Are waiting to find a shape of their own.
The bliss I feel is the knowledge of faith
That the blanks don’t have to be filled in.
The happiness is an escalade
That only I can feel.
The good is present
And we continue onward.
