Another new poem by Eunice Irwin from her recently submitted collection of a dozen poems received just this week... - poetheart 05/10/03
White frosted hill
Beckons my will
Up from the valley
In winter's calm chill
Ascend to her heights
Now the valley below
Peaceful and still
Covered with snow
At peace here am I
My world in this scene
Quaint village below
Unspoiled, sereneThe snow gently falling
Caressing the ground
Lays down in the valley
Not making a sound
As darkness descends
On the hill I remain
The lights in the valley
Now twinkle again
The stars up above
Reflect their dim light
Celestial counterpart
Viewed from this height
With heaven above
My home down below
On this hill in between
I succumb in the snow
