God give me the strength
To understand the paths
Of others...their light
And their darkness
The subtleties we might otherwise miss
Give me the power to
Accept others and forgive
Them, for quite often
They don't know what they do wrong
Give me the insight to look beyond
And to allow myself and others to heal
In a world where cold seems to reign
Give me the freedom to
Explore and to fathom
Unreachable depths of my
Heart, and mind, leading
To an understanding that no
Longer requires any questions
Complete my soul and bury
My doubts, so I can once again
Share that love with someone
