I can almost say that there is no constant.
I can say that my thoughts may be
Provoked by other influence tomorrow.
But what I can lend you today
Is the culmination of my days
And tears and laughter.
Today’s thoughts will smile,
But not without condition.
They will look at you and
Reveal only what they know;
For tomorrow, their ideals
And philosophy may compromise
Their very position - But
Know that they are the truest thoughts
The ones that don’t look outside for
Answers - they are the ones that
Take the depth and imagination
Of all that lay behind
And accept that the scenery and scrutiny
Ahead may surely change the outlook.
But for now, no rosy colored
Glasses to befuddle your perception;
Just a point in time for an answer.
