"Can I truly write about nothing"

Paul sent me this poem earlier this week. What do you think about it?  - poetheart 02/14/02

Can I truly write about nothing
How can I align these words
So meaning is non existent
Can any action that I take
Amount to emptiness
A bottomless sense
Of void
But no matter what I do
Or don't do
There is a meaning to
Everything in some sense
I can't stop
I can't reel in the pictures
As the frames progress
I can simply insert
And provoke my
Feelings for they
Try to only whisper
In my ear for
No one else to hear
The whisper though
Heard for eternity
Is a consequence
And a reaction
For all is relevant
And a featureless
Landscape does not exist
Not even in the mind
Every piece builds the
Accolade for the next
Listen carefully
Sounds are there
Silence is often what
We choose not hear
And darkness simply
Refuses to reveal
What is all around
