"Release"

I love everything about this new poem by Cristy.  - poetheart 09/20/02

My heart thumps, beneath bitter bone.
Crimson liquid that flows too slow.
If pierced with hateful words it would not bleed.
For it is soothed with calm whispering.
Heating my blood with syrupy words,
Igniting my passion with lustful urge.
Lay me out in gardens, sweet smelling and wet.
Under the milky moonlight, damp with Summer’s sweat.
Above, the stars are shining vividly,
Swallowing every deep sigh I breathe.
Your name lingers...inside me deep.
Escaping only through fevered sleep.
